Paisley Dee Photography & WISB* Art and Fashion Co-Op ART BASEL 2010

Miami Beach-December 2010- Miami born photographer Paisley Dee opens her exhibition for the second year during Art Basel Miami Beach 2010.  She has spent much time traveling throughout South America and will be showcasing her work Las Caras Perdidas: The Lost Faces, which is a collection of prints taken of the indigenous and local people of Ecuador.  Her images tell a story of humanity through people and their environment.  The artist’s fascination with humanity and civilization evoke emotion and portray a life different to a world she lives in.  In addition, Paisley Dee has shot all look-books for the organic luxury ready-to-wear line WISB*.  Adjacent to Paisley’s exhibit will be the WISB* Pop-Up Shop which features the S/S 2011 collection, available via demi-couture, a capsule collection exclusively for Art Basel Miami Beach 2010.  The shop will also contain one-of-a-kind accessories designed by WISB* and hand made by Haitian artisans as well as the BASIC* t-shirt collection, and the new WISB* men’s collection consisting of reworked vintage pieces.  This is a not to be missed one stop Co-Op of art and fashion.

Attention to Detail

Attention to Detail -- Is thorough in accomplishing a task with concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.

It’s a battle of two cities for me. Here I am loving Miami for the quality of life, and the perks of being in a beautiful setting everyday. The sunsets do not compare to New York skies. Hands down Miami lifestyle takes the cake for vacation vibe 24/7. But New York….

New York is HOME. New York is where I know I want to eventually live and love living in! I always said I wanted a reason to miss it, and here I am in debate on what makes the most sense for me. I made a promise yesterday that I would give living in Miami a true chance until “season” is over in March 2011. Seems so far away yet it’s truly right around the corner. Not that I will be ready to up and leave, but I will make my final decision on if it’s worth staying for. Or if New York is worth moving back to.

The questioning of where I will be a year from now is on everyone’s mind. The constant questions of “so..how is it going?....”Mirlinda I need an update!!??” come up on a daily basis. Patience my LOVES as I’m in questioning myself. I never thought I would be in this place, in the city, in this position a year ago. Here I am, one year older, one year wiser, and one year later a better person every day. Every day thankful for the support that has brought me here. Life is good no matter what city I am in. I am accomplishing every task god has planned for me, in every area involved. Love, live life, and prosper.

I love living in this moment as in this moment I'm living love. - Mk.

Miami Vice

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chonga

If you don't know, now you know! Fashion in Miami is a BIG fail. I'm trying to get back to New York to get some serious gear for the 90 degree heat! Do I really want bedazzled and graffi Ed Hardy type non-sense? Yeah well maybe...if I start hanging under some board walk with the crack heads!!?

Think some changes will def be full in affect when it comes to my character. Hoping to become more relaxed with this beach life. Rather than taking my weekends and spending $$$ on clothes and restaurants, I will hopefully be taking the sun in and getting crispy. Which by the way isn't looking cute since I'm peeling like an iguana!

Trying to be settled in with this new position and apartment by next week. Hoping for some super amazing friends to drive my stuff down!! Compensation will be great place to stay, dinner, and bottles and models! And in time I am sure the perks will become a lot better!

Decor of the apartment is already being discussed, and I def want the imput? Thinking Henri Bendel striped wall paper for dining room, white chic clean walls for living room, and the dark grey paint with white accents for my room.

Need to keep real in this joke of a city, so let's go chickas GET HERE!
